Stefano Lorenzi is Associate Professor of Nuclear Plants at the Politecnico di Milano. His research focuses on simulation for nuclear plant control, the study of control schemes, multiphysics analysis of fourth-generation reactors such as lead-cooled fast reactors (LFR) and molten salt reactors (MSR), hybrid nuclear systems, and their integration with cogeneration applications. He is Principal Investigator for the Politecnico di Milano in the SELENE and RocketRoll projects for the application of nuclear energy to space, and coordinator of the European ENDURANCE project for the development of molten salt reactor technology.
