Prof. Roberto Bellotti, Rector of the University of Bari since 2025 and former Director of the Interuniversity Department of Physics (2018-2025), is one of the most authoritative figures in Italian Applied Physics. Author of over 600 publications (H-index 63, 18,000 citations), he leads an internationally renowned research group on Artificial Intelligence applied to medicine, neuroscience, economics, and big data. A pioneer of Medical Physics and Econophysics in Bari, he has coordinated national and international projects and promoted advanced training in AI and Industry 4.0.
