Vice President of Advanced Computing Business, D-Wave

Irwan Owen is the vice president of the Advanced Computing business at D-Wave, overseeing the global expansion of D-Wave’s on-premises fleet of quantum computers. He is a veteran of the modern hi-tech industry with over thirty years of international experience in computing, web and mobile markets. Irwan brings a wealth of experience from the computing industry and has been instrumental in the commercialisation of many platforms and technologies.  Prior to D-Wave, Irwan has held roles as SVP Sales and Business Development at Red Bend Software (now part of Samsung) a pioneer of OTA update technologies, European Director for PalmSource Inc., the makers of the PalmOS operating environment for PDAs and Smartphones, and Vice President of Business Management at Symbian Ltd where he and his team were responsible for the delivery of SymbianOS based devices through Symbian’s equity partners and licensees.
