Giulio Starace

Research Engineer, OpenAI

Giulio Starace was born in Rome on 24 June 1998. As son of diplomats, he grew up in the United States, India, the United Arab Emirates and Japan, attending international schools. In 2016, he enrolled in Physics and Computer Science at Durham University (UK). Between 2019 and 2021, he worked as a software and machine learning research engineer at ESO and other companies. In 2021, he began a master's degree in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Amsterdam and, since October 2023, he has been a Research Engineer at OpenAI.
