Giovanni Acampora

Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing, University of Naples Federico II

Giovanni Acampora is Full Professor of Computer Science at the University of Naples Federico II, Italy. He previously held positions at Nottingham Trent University (Reader, 2013–2016) and Eindhoven University of Technology (Tenure Track for Hoofddocent, 2012–2013). He is Chair of the Quantum Academy, Editor-in-Chief of Quantum Machine Intelligence, and has chaired major conferences including FUZZ-IEEE 2017 and IEEE QAI 2025. His research spans computational intelligence and quantum computing, with awards from IEEE, IBM, Fujitsu, and the Canada–Italy Innovation program.
